For fiscal year 2026, the town of Barnet has budgeted $95,650 for the Landfill/Transfer Station fund. The largest expenses are a $40,000 dumping fee, a $30,000 hauling fee, an $11,500 annual appropriation and surcharge to the Northeast Kingdom Waste Management District, and $10,500 for transfer station salaries. The remaining funds cover environmental compliance and post-closure testing ($3,000), hired equipment ($400), advertising ($150), and supplies ($100).
